Viking Toys® Cars is a leading manufacturer and retailer of high-quality toy vehicles and playsets. Our mission is to inspire children’s imaginations and bring joy to families worldwide through innovative, educational toys.
Our History

The Viking Toys® brand was founded in 1957 by Danish immigrant Hans Christiansen. As a young boy in Denmark, Hans spent hours crafting wooden ships, wagons, and other toys. He dreamed of one day starting a toy business focused on inspiring creativity.
After moving to the United States, Hans set up a small carpentry shop in his garage and began handcrafting wooden pull toys and miniature vehicles. As demand grew, he expanded into a larger workshop and started the Viking Toys® company.
In the 1960s, Viking Toys® pioneered the development of high-quality plastic toy vehicles. Our expert designers and engineers created realistic models like the classic Viking Semi Truck. This started our tradition of making toys that encourage imaginative roleplay.
Throughout the 1970s and 80s, Viking Toys® continued to innovate with new concepts like customizable build-it-yourself car kits. Generations of children assembled their own unique Viking Racer using interchangeable parts and decals.
In the 1990s, we entered the diecast vehicle market with authentic, finely detailed models like the Viking Mutt Cutts Van from the hit movie Dumb and Dumber. Our diecast cars quickly became coveted collector’s items.
Today, Viking Toys® offers an extensive selection of toy cars, trucks, buses, construction equipment, emergency vehicles, boats, trains, and playsets. While our company has grown over the decades, we remain committed to Hans Christiansen’s original vision: designing high-quality, imaginative toys kids love.
Our Toy Vehicles
Vehicle toys have always been the heart of our product line. We take pride in the realism, creativity, and innovation found in every Viking Toys® car, truck, bus, boat, and airplane.
From sturdy plastic pull toys to highly detailed diecast models, our vehicles are engineered with quality and durability. Superb manufacturing ensures our toys meet rigorous safety standards and withstand hours of revved-up roleplay.
Whimsical designs like the playful Frog Hopper capture toddlers’ imaginations. Realistic public service vehicles encourage dramatic rescue missions. Futuristic concepts like our line of buildable Robo Rollers inspire creative play.
For collectors, our authentic 1:64 and 1:24 scale replicas showcase an amazing attention to detail. Whether it’s the classic Viking Armored Truck or a licensed replica like the Ghostbusters Ecto-1, every miniature is carefully crafted to look just like the real thing.
No matter their interest or skill level, kids find a perfect vehicle match in our unmatched toy car assortment.
Our Playsets

To expand creative play possibilities, Viking Toys® also offers an exciting range of playsets and accessories.
Budding builders are revved up by our customizable Car Factory, where kids can construct their own vehicles on the assembly line. Interactive fueling stations, car washes, and parking garages provide hours of roleplay fun.
Pint-sized firefighters and paramedics respond to emergency calls with our rescue-themed playsets. The multi-level Mission Control Headquarters features a fire truck, ambulance, rescue helicopter and more for heart-pounding hero play.
For future pilots, the realistic Jumbo Jet Airport is packed with a commercial airliner, control tower, luggage carts and 57 individual accessories to ignite imaginative adventures.
From busy construction sites to police stations and racecar pits, Viking Toys® playsets allow kids to dive deeper into dramatic worlds of play. Compatible with all our vehicles, they provide unlimited ways to learn and create through playtime escapades.
Our Commitment to Quality
Viking Toys® maintains exceptional standards for quality, safety, and service. We take tremendous pride in making toys that live up to our brand’s trusted reputation.
Our vehicle designs undergo rigorous developmental testing to ensure durability and safety. Prototypes are examined from all angles to identify any potential issues prior to manufacturing. Once in production, we regularly inspect our factories and manufacturing processes to guarantee consistent quality.
All product materials and paints meet or exceed legal standards regarding lead and other substances. Our toys are tested by independent accredited labs to verify compliance with toy safety requirements established by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
We aim to exceed safety testing requirements, not just meet them. This gives parents peace of mind knowing Viking Toys® products are developed with kids’ well-being as our top priority.
Our customer service team goes above and beyond to ensure complete satisfaction. We offer assistance selecting the ideal toys for kids of all interests and ages. If any issue arises with a Viking Toys® product, we swiftly resolve the matter to the customer’s satisfaction.
